Krishnamachari “Kris” Srikkanth, affectionately known as Cheeka, is a former captain of the Indian cricket team and a key member of India’s 1983 World Cup-winning squad. As an explosive opening batsman, he was renowned for his fearless stroke play, aggressive batting style, and ability to dismantle top bowling attacks.
Beyond his playing career, Srikkanth served as the Chairman of the BCCI Selection Committee, playing a pivotal role in selecting India’s 2011 World Cup-winning team. He was honored with the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award (2019) and was a Brand Ambassador for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. He has also contributed as a mentor for IPL teams Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. A sought-after cricket analyst and commentator, he is known for his honest and entertaining insights on Star Sports. Off the field, he is an influential motivational speaker, delivering leadership and management talks for top corporate clients, including Cisco, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata, and Apollo Hospitals. Srikkanth is also an advocate for education and skill development, having launched innovative digital learning platforms like English Strokes, Career Strokes, Edu Strokes, and Cricket Strokes.
