His noteworthy 23-year career with the Tata Group included various senior roles such as the first Brand Custodian, Chief Ethics Officer, and Chairman of the Tata Global Sustainability Council. He further demonstrated his leadership abilities by serving on the boards of numerous Tata entities.

Today, Dr. Rajan holds significant roles in prominent organizations such as the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Forum of Free Enterprise, and KPMG India ESG Council. He also lends his ESG expertise to the Bank of Baroda as an advisor. His efforts have been recognized by the World Economic Forum, which named him a Young Global Leader in 2007.

Academically, Dr. Rajan holds a BTech degree from IIT Delhi and a Masters and Doctorate in International Relations from Oxford University, obtained as a Rhodes Scholar. He’s an acclaimed author, with his book “OUTLAST – How ESG Can Benefit Your Business” winning the Green Literature Festival Honour Book Award in 2022. His influence in ESG and corporate ethics has left a lasting impact on Corporate India.
