Dr. Sundar Ganesan
Archivist | Curator | Historian
Dr. Sundar Ganesan is a distinguished archivist, curator, and historian, known for his extensive work in preservation and archival research. A founder of the RMRL Trust, he has been instrumental in expanding the Roja Muthiah Research Library (RMRL), which now houses nearly 500,000 rare and historical items.
A consultant to UNESCO, the Indian Institute of Science, the Government of Tamil Nadu, and the Noolaham Foundation (Sri Lanka), Dr. Ganesan has also trained archivists across South Asia. His notable works include The Tall Man: Biju Patnaik, Thunderous Run Bountiful Harvest, and Requiem to Jaffna Public Library, alongside his translation of Macaulay’s Minutes on Indian Education. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Madras Christian College, University of Madras, and currently serves as the Director of the Roja Muthiah Research Library.
