Rajdeep Sardesai is an award-winning journalist, author, and television news presenter with over three and a half decades of experience in print and broadcast media. Currently the Consulting Editor and Lead News Anchor at India Today, he has previously served as the Founder Editor of CNN-IBN and Managing Editor of NDTV 24×7 and NDTV India.
He is the author of several bestsellers, including 2024: The Election That Surprised India, 2019: How Modi Won India, and 2014: The Election That Changed India, as well as Democracy’s Eleven: The Great Story of Indian Cricket, which was shortlisted as MCC Lords’ Cricket Book of the Year (2017-18). A recipient of over 50 journalism awards, Sardesai was conferred the Padma Shri (2008), the International Broadcasters Award for coverage of the 2002 Gujarat riots, the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award (2007), and the Prem Bhatia Award for Political Journalism (2019). He was also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
