Saharu Nusaiba Kannanari

Writer | Award-Winning Novelist

Saharu Nusaiba Kannanari is an Indian author from Areekode, Malappuram district, Kerala. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Aligarh Muslim University and a Master’s degree in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
His debut novel, Chronicle of an Hour and a Half (2024), has received critical acclaim, winning the Crossword Book Award and the Atta Galatta Bangalore Literature Festival Book Prize in the fiction category. The novel was also shortlisted for the JCB Prize for Literature and the Godrej-Mumbai Lit Live! Literary Award. Beyond his writing, Kannanari has worked as a contract lecturer, dedicating his time to literature and storytelling. His upcoming novel, The Menon Investigation, is slated for publication in 2025.
