About the fest

Group 96 (1)

The Ooty Literary Festival is evolving into a new avatar. Reimagined with an enriching assembly of literature, art, music and local culture, resonating with the spirit of Ooty’s bicentennial celebration. The Ooty Litfest will mirror the vibrant cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu with a special Tamil session celebrating Tamil literature, while expressing a deep commitment to the ecological sensitivities of the region. This year, we are presenting the Ooty Litfest Precinct, a special area dedicated to the festival, where Ooty’s serene landscape comes alive with intellectual discussions, cultural expressions and artistic performances. We have curated a group of celebrated authors, a beautiful display of visual and tribal art, live interaction with nature conservationists, an exhibition that transports you to Ooty’s historic past and a mix of Indian classical, blues and jazz concerts to make the hills come alive.

From school children to Nilgiri veterans.
There is something irresistible for everyone.
