Her books on theatre icons, such as “Habib Tanvir: Towards an Inclusive Theatre” and “Badal Sircar: Towards a Theatre of Conscience,” have become definitive texts on the subject.

Beyond the written word, Katyal’s translations breathe life into the works of luminaries like Habib Tanvir, Mahasweta Devi, and Meera Mukherjee.

Currently, she directs the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival while also curating the Nabanna Earth Weekend (NEW) Santiniketan—a melting pot of arts and ideas.

As Editor of ArthArt, an arts journal by Arthshila Trust, she continues her journey in enriching the cultural landscape of India.
